The Quest for Wisdom

Luke 11:31. “The queen of Sheba[a] will stand up against this generation on judgment day and condemn it, for she came from a distant land to hear the wisdom of Solomon. Now someone greater than Solomon is here—but you refuse to listen.

This scripture points us to something important, that is a rebuke to acquire wisdom in this day and age where we have wisdom very much availed to us to handle limitations in life. So we cant be saying "I didn't know how to do it", most especially in a christian life with Christ our teacher and example.

If you are a leader, seeking after wisdom is a principal thing. The scripture says the Queen of Sheba traveled from her palace to Solomon's palace just to get answers to her questions. This shows us that research should be part and parcel of anyone who aspires to be a leader. The bible says that the prophets of the old searched scriptures to understand to whom did the promise belong in this day and age. We have people in places of leadership who just judge without understanding and they condemn without finding out the truth.

The bible says in Hosea 4:6 that my people perish for lack of knowledge.
Acts 17:11-12. And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth. 12 As a result, many Jews believed, as did many of the prominent Greek women and men.
Reading this scripture, it shows me a group of people ready to adjust and learn. Yet in this day and age, we have a body of people who want to refuse everything they don't understand.

It's important that before we refuse a certain wisdom, we cross check with the word of God and see what it says. Ignorant leaders bring instability but equipped leaders are a fountain of joy to their subjects.

Prayer
May God cause you to find wisdom in this time and age.
Amen
